REYKJAVÍK’S ART FESTIVAL // 2019
The festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2020. From the beginning it has been the cultural gateway between Iceland and the rest of the world, moving Icelandic culture forward and creating value for our community.
On the 50th anniversary, the festival wants to inspire people to step into new and unexpected worlds.
The symbol, originally designed by Ágústa Pétursdóttir Snæland in 1970, is transformed into a three-dimensional time portal to connect the festival’s history with the 2020 upcoming events.
